According to the observations at (17:30) hours MST today, the Cyclonic Storm (Laila) over Southwest Bay of Bengal has slightly moved to Norththwest wards and is centered at about (220) miles Southeast of Chennai (India). Maximum sustainable wind speed is (50)mph and forecast to move Northwest direction. The present stage of the depression is coded yellow stage and it is not moving towards Myanmar Coasts.
Under the influence of the Cyclonic Storm, squalls with rough seas are likely attimes off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)mph.
