Summary of observations recorded at 09:30 hr. M.S.T.

During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Chin State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Divisions, scattered in Mandalay Division, fairly widespread in Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining areas with isolated heavy falls in Kachin State and Upper Sagaing Division. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Naypyitaw (Thapyakone) (0.47) inch, Katha (4.64)inches, Bhamo (4.45) inches, Paung (2.95)inches, Homilin (2.87) inches, Zaungtu (2.48) inches, Pinlaung (1.85) inches and Kyeikame (1.57)inches,.
Bay inference

Monsoon is moderate in the North Bay and strong in the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Division, fairly widespread in Chin State, Mandalay and Lower Sagaing and Divisions, and widespread in the remaining areas with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Mon State and Upper Sagaing Division. Degree of certainty is (80%).
State of the sea

Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) mph. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
